We used our own abstract weaving technique throughout in what I like to call "unicorn colors" because they are so bright and happy

The vintage safety deposit box (so there may be a few nicks or dents here and there but it truly beautiful and was rescued from an old vault in the small town where I live) spoke to me as soon as I saw it and knew I wanted to try using it as a frame

5" wood dowel | 1" thick- weaving is 27" long (at the longest point)- 3" deep

This set was made using vintage copper measuring cups - you can see all the measurements etched in to the bottom of each cup

Embroidered Circle in Vintage Teak Frame French_Knot_Rainbow We used our own abstractYears ago, I made some embroidered brooches in these beautiful wooden frames sourced from a couple who makes them by hand (!!!). Although I loved them, I hadn't made more after that first batch. This round frame is the same shape as those brooch pieces I used to make but it was fun to give it this brand new twist with the vintage frame and painted background too. I stitched the center in my favorite French Knots in one of my favorite colorways to work
